Condemnation Services
The New York City Department of Environmental Protection (NYCDEP) had condemned an inactive Mobil Oil containment tank facility in Brooklyn, NY. New York’s legal department retained GREYHAWK to assist in the process by valuing the existing site and facility for future use, specifically with regard to the expansion of the neighboring Newtown Creek Water Pollution Control Plant. Newtown Creek is the City’s oldest and largest wastewater treatment plant.
GREYHAWK performed detailed site surveys, estimated the cost of the demolition and assessed the use of the site for various purposes as part our condemnation services to prepare the site for the next stage in the $3 billion Newtown Creek Treatment Plant expansion and upgrade.
